ISDA had significantly outgrown their space at One Bishops Square and wanted to make the move to a self-contained space with dedicated conferencing facilities to support their membership and deliver an extensive programme of seminars and events.

The right floorplate, aspect and building facilities were really important in this move –not only for the visiting delegates but more importantly the staff who often work very long hours supporting the global organisation. Through a series of collective workshops we tested ISDA’s appetite for change and aspirations for the future, developing a detailed brief to test properties across central London. High on the list of criteria was a footprint that lent it itself to creating distinct zones of public access for seminars and events and a private office environment.

The public, event space offers a highly flexible meeting, seminar and presentation space including a demountable stage. ISDA’s interesting work patterns have a large number of staff hosting lengthy teleconference and video conference events. As such we ultimately built a post COVID-19 friendly facility with a larger than typical proportion of enclosed spaces and generous space planning around the open plan areas.

A rich mix of staff amenities to support both relaxation and quiet away from the public facing areas and for ISDA as an organisation to socialise, were provided as part of the office environment.
