Our client was looking to relocate to a new office that would provide a more modern and less corporate environment for their staff, whilst still reflecting the professionalism of their business. Shaw Studios were appointed initially to assist with the assessment of several potential buildings with a technical and qualitative review. With the client keen to be located in the heart of Soho, the chosen space provided a great opportunity in a recently refurbished building with terrace and a single floorplate with dual aspect.

The aesthetic from the outset was to be more Soho than traditional financial look and feel, with Crittall style glazing and injections of colour throughout. Client meeting rooms utilised some less traditional finishes such as recycled leather wall panelling and dye lab carpet tiles with semi bespoke meeting room tables and credenzas with Caesarstone tops. Sit stand desks with warm timber finishes fill the open plan office space with support areas such as wellness room, internal meeting rooms, Zoom room and tea point adjacent. Access to the terrace is from the open plan area with seating and planting provided.

The base building was not without its challenges, with floor mounted mechanical services and the need for acoustically sound meeting rooms the design team had to work hard to find appropriate solutions for this.
